Stardust and The Ocean at the End of the Lane signed by Neil Gaiman on the US Book tour at Agnes Scott College on June 22, 2013.

He is taller than I thought he would be, and even more wonderful in person than I imaginee. He was pleasant and witty and entertained so many questions. He also accepted a pair of socks someone had finished knitting while standing in line. I know right now I’m setting him up on a pedestal, but it really was a wonderful experience.

Of course once I got to him in the signing line my mind blanked. All I could think to say was, “I got to meet your wife in September when she was in Atlanta.”

He replied, “She’s a lovely person, isn’t she?” And then he signed The Ocean at the End of the Lane with a heart.
